Two Thai nationals have been arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into Bali. The suspects — Prakob Seetang, 29, and Adison Phonlamat, 20 — tried to smuggle the drugs by swallowing almost 1 kg of sabu (methamphetamine).
They were arrested upon arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport on Air Asia flight FD 398 from Bangkok in the early morning of May 13. Airport custom officers were suspicious of the two persons based on the custom’s profiling system. However, custom officers did not find any suspicious items when they passed the X-Ray machine.
