US Coast Guard officer arrested for drugs traficking in Bali on Friday, June 19, 2019.. Indonesian Coast Guard (BAKAMLA) apprehended the officer on a traditional wooden vessel at Benoa Harbour, Bali.
However, its just part of training on handling drugs traffickers. The practical exercise was part of the Southeast Asia Maritime Law Enforcement Initiative Technical Experts Workshop (SEAMLEI TEW), held in Bali for five days since June 24. The event is hosted by Indonesia Badan Keamanan Laut (BAKAMLA), and supported by the United States Mission to ASEAN and the U.S. Coast Guard. The event was attended by over 90 technical officers and specialists of regional maritime law enforcement organizations in Southeast Asia.
